Hailee Steinfeld
Hailee Steinfeld is an American actress. She rose to fame for her portrayal of Mattie Ross in the 2010 film True Grit, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress Steinfeld began acting at the age of eight, initially appearing in several short films to gain experience. She eventually made appearances in several commercials and a few guest-starring television roles.
Steinfeld was chosen out of 15,000 girls for the role of Mattie Ross in True Grit. She was announced as a nominee for Best Supporting Actress at the 83rd Academy Awards on January 25, 2011.
She has been cast as Juliet Capulet in an upcoming adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet by director Carlo Carlie.
